This part contains particulars of those ship stations for which an MMSI number has been notified to the Radiocommunication Bureau, with the exception of pleasure ships (general classification PL). It also contains details of Accounting Authorities and countries responsible for notifications. This List is a service publication issued annually by ITU in pursuance of Article 20 of the Radio Regulations. As prescribed in Appendix 16 to the aforementioned Regulations, all stations on board ships for which a GMDSS or Morse radiotelegraph installation is required by international agreement shall be provided with this List.
